About us

Peace Lutheran Church is a community of Christian believers, following the teachings and life of Jesus Christ and rooted in the heritage of the Lutheran Reformation.

Committed to an understanding of the Lutheran tradition as evangelical and catholic, Peace affirms the Church’s scriptural foundations in order to foster robust spiritual renewal for all Lutherans on the Saanich Peninsula as well as those in the wider ecumenical community.

Our mission is to form life-long disciples of Jesus Christ through the proclamation of the gospel, the message of liberation that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself. This ministry for the sake of the world is our response to the love of God through Jesus Christ.

More than half a century after the first Lutheran worship services were held in Sidney, our ministry to the Church and the local community continues through our life together in prayer, fellowship, study and pastoral care.

  • Our congregation gathers for prayer each Sunday at 10:30 AM, celebrating Holy Communion on the first, third and fifth Sundays of each month.
